Synopsis
Samal is a cheerful and well-off, but very superstitious, 35-year-old woman who is in no rush to get married — she’s quite happy with her life as it is. She regularly visits her fortune-teller Roza, whom she trusts even more than her own mother.
One day, Roza delivers fateful news: she has received a sign from above about Samal’s future husband. If Samal doesn’t find and marry him, she is destined for an unhappy life.
Giving in to the mystical prophecy, Samal convinces her loyal friends — the determined former athlete Sezim and the obsessive astrologer Sveta — to help her search for the man fate has chosen. Following a series of mysterious signs, the friends arrive in a small village, where all clues lead them to a simple but noble rural man named Bakyt, who, as it turns out, is also unmarried.
However, when Samal tries to explain the situation, Bakyt just chuckles and firmly refuses to take part in what he calls a “fateful performance.”
Unwilling to give up, Sezim — used to taking decisive action — knocks him out, and the women kidnap Bakyt, taking him back to the city. As the characters become entangled in a series of funny and dangerous situations, the truth comes to light: it was all a clever setup. A mysterious man named Ermek had bribed the fortune-teller to convince Samal that she was destined to marry — so that she would end up marrying him.
But due to a mistake made by Roza’s assistants, Samal confused Ermek with someone else — and kidnapped the wrong groom.
Ermek still wants to marry Samal, and when he realizes his plan is falling apart, he decides to take radical action — and kidnaps her. But by this time, real feelings have begun to blossom between Samal and Bakyt.
Realizing he can’t let Samal disappear from his life, Bakyt sets out to rescue her and prove that true love matters more than any prophecy.
